Guidance

How the pattern works

Owned by Corporate Identity.

Use this pattern for the canonical public page of a published News story. News on port 3019 remains the editorial and data authority; consuming applications pass presentation-ready dates, links, credits, classifications and sanitised article content into the shared package.

Use featured cards for lead stories, standard cards for archives and compact cards for homepage collections. Preserve image dimensions, alternative text, captions, categories, tags and contributor snapshots when supplied by the News authority.

Place the governed translation controls immediately after the black News hero and before the feature image. Show the English AI notice only when the current projection is explicitly marked AI-assisted.

Do not fetch News data, parse dates, sanitise HTML, generate SEO metadata, expose editorial workflow status or connect to a CMS database inside the design component. Corrected and retracted notices are explicit public editorial decisions, not internal workflow labels.
